Get Outdoors!

Let’s admit it, we spend far too much of our time indoors – either cooped up in our office cubicle or at home – trying to get our work done in time. The only time we step outside the house is for another run to the grocery store or to pick up the kids.

But anyone who wishes to remain happy and healthy cannot discount the importance of breathing fresh, clean air in a stress free environment – marking a clear break from your daily routine. That is why experts are now increasingly suggesting stepping outdoors for a workout, especially women who otherwise are too busy to do so.

That way, people get a chance to connect with nature while keeping themselves fit and giving them a peace of mind. In fact, the outdoor offers amazing possibilities for training the body.

One of the best ways to strengthen calf muscles and lose flab around the legs and thighs is to go hiking or climb stairs. Whichever of these you can find in your vicinity, go ahead. Women often complain about the difficulty of shifting the weight around their thighs. But the above mentioned method is a fool proof way of getting it done.

Also, you can take up a high-intensity sport like tennis or basketball or volleyball. A lot of women remember their school and college days when they loved being on the playground but inevitably give it up as other responsibilities pile up. But this is one opportunity to go back to the game you loved so much, stay fit and breathe in some fresh air while you are at it. Not to mention the number of new teammates you will find, making workouts just a regular friends meeting and not a chore.

For those who love swimming, it is one of the best exercises that you can do for working every muscle in the body. And what better place to go for clearing your head after a long day than a fresh, sparkling pool of water?

Cycling is another much-loved outdoor workout option, which allows you to explore the world around you while burning the calories. If your spouse loves it too, it can be the perfect way to spend some time together – cycling and talking – just the two of you, without any distractions.

Of course, there is the good old running. But instead of sweating it out on the treadmill, it is advised that you step out in the clear morning air, pound the pavements to get to a green belt and experience your city in a new light – all the while burning off the extra calories.

It is difficult to find an indoor workout regime that is as exciting as the outdoor ones. The beautiful nature, an opportunity to explore the surroundings in peace, watch the sun rise as you go running or hiking are experiences that cannot be replicated inside a gym. For all the stressed, hard working women out there, the outdoors may after all be the answer to the search for that perfect workout.

It is always better to workout outdoors than indoors . This way you can also fill your lungs with fresh air . But of course you have to choose the place where to workout very carefully .
