Three Effective Ways Of Blasting Away Lower Back Fat

The so-called “bathing suit season” is fast approaching, with days getting longer, nights growing shorter, temperatures rising, and the sun’s rays growing more powerful by the day.

Yes, summer is quickly approaching which means most of us will be wearing less and less clothing.

In theory that sounds great, as the sunshine and warm weather is far more pleasant than cold and wet weather. The problem is that if you’re perhaps not quite in as great a shape as you’d have hoped, you may be reluctant to lose the layers and reveal your body to the world.

Many people struggle with their weight, especially when stubborn body fat just won’t leave certain parts of the body, no matter how hard they try. Take the lower back for instance. Many people tend to store surplus body fat here, yet when it comes to losing this fat, they simply don’t seem to make any real progress in the slightest. If this applies to you, then here are three effective ways of blasting away lower back fat for good.

Clean up your diet:
This may sound like a no-brainer, but it’s absolutely true. If you want to lose fat, you need to ensure that your diet is clean, healthy, balanced, and low in trans and saturated fats, commonly found in processed junk food. Rather than eating processed foods high in bad fats, instead try to eat healthier, fresh and natural foods instead.

Look for lean sources of protein such as chicken or turkey, get your energy from complex carbohydrates such as rice or potatoes, and ensure you eat plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables that are rich in vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. I recommend you try the Paleo Diet, because it’s a balanced way of eating and is one which is both healthy in the long run and also promotes high energy day to day.

Do more cardiovascular exercise:
Cardiovascular exercise is so, so beneficial when it comes to losing fat and boosting fitness levels and for that reason you should try to do at least 4 hours of cardiovascular exercise per week. You can simply hop on a treadmill or exercise bike in the gym, or go for a jog or a walk, go cycling, play sports, or even do some laps in the local swimming pool.

If you want to lose body fat, you need to exercise and get burning calories on a regular weekly basis. With regular cardio, you’ll soon notice an improvement in your fitness, and a decrease in your overall body fat levels.

Use weights to target the lower back:
Weight and resistance training is another great way of really targeting the lower back, as there are a number of exercises you can perform that will isolate this area perfectly. One exercise that is absolutely perfect for this type of scenario is one known as the “good morning”. To perform ‘good mornings’, you’ll need to grasp a barbell with both hands with a wide grip, and place it behind your neck and across your shoulders.

Next, stand with your feet shoulder width apart, keep your back straight, push your chest forward and bend at the hips. Bend until your upper body is perfectly parallel to the ground, and then slowly stand back up to the starting position and repeat for a further 3 sets of 8 – 12 reps. Your lower back will soon begin to tone up and you should begin to notice results within a matter of weeks.
