If you are like most women that struggles with weight loss in a world of constant food temptations; or if you’re a chocolate and candy lover and can’t live a day without satisfying your sweet tooth, or if you’ve gained a few pounds and have no idea how to lose them, then this was written with you in mind…

What follows are the top 5 exercises for women that are ensure you get you the best results, provided that you regularly devote an hour of your time every two days to exercising. For best results, combine 2 of these exercises in a routine which you complete on a selected day, once per week. Then combine 2 others and do the same. This will form the basis of your new workout routine and will set you up for achieving your goals.

Of course, that is not to say that you can eat unhealthy food, carbs or fat. Food is an essential diet assistant, which basically means that your weight loss routine should consist of both exercises and well-chosen, healthy, energizing food. You can break the rules once or twice, but if you are serious about losing weight and toning your body then you will need to plan a diet, in addition to starting to do these 5 exercises as part of a routine.

Do the following exercises for a flat belly, toned legs, nice arms and straight back.

For starters, try step aerobics. Aerobics are a great cardio exercise and it speeds up your heart rate, allowing you to burn up to 800 calories per hour. It is designed to tone your hips, legs and your butt, so if step aerobics looks like something you’d be able to do, try exercising one hour a day or two half an hour sessions and the results will come in just two weeks!

Another interesting exercise for effective weight loss is riding your bike. In spring and summer, when the weather is wonderful and sunny, why not go out for a ride and feel the wind in your hair. Riding a bike brings many benefits – breathing fresh air, working your legs and feet, keeping a straight posture. Plus, you’ll get to places faster. Riding a bike burns up to 1000 calories per hour.

Swimming is a great exercise for weight loss as it works with the entire body, not only with certain muscles. You need to maintain your balance in the water, and swimming also helps with back problems. It’s a great calorie burning exercise, burning up to 800 calories for one hour of swimming.

The fourth best calorie burner is brisk walking. It might sound easy, but in order to be a brisk walker, you must have patience and a good pair of legs. It works every single muscle in your body since the legs carry the entire weight, and the arms must move in order to keep the balance. If you don’t like the intensity of running, brisk walking is a great way to lose weight, burning up to 360 calories per hour.

Last but not least – dancing. Burns up to 800 calories per hour, depending on the type of dance you choose. The more dynamic the dance is – the more calories you burn. Dancing is also one of those physical activities that works with all body muscles, so play your favorite music, get up and do your moves.

Keep doing it and with the right attitude, you should get the right results for your hard work.

Stairs are great for weight loss! I used to use a stair machine in a gym, but now I climb stairs outdoors instead, which is great for getting fresh air *and* saving money by not paying for a gym membership. I have found a couple of big flights of stairs in my neighborhood–one of them even leads down to the beach, which is a nice reward after my exercise time. I am going to try to add some biking to my routine this summer, too.

Zumba dancing works for me. I just love the intensity of the steps and it really pumps up my adrenaline. Plus I get to practice my dance moves at the same time I do my workout. And the songs are never boring. I highly recommend this to all the girls who want to lose weight and enjoy at the same time.

I know personally when I try to keep in shape I love to dance. Dancing is an amazing way to have “fun” while at the same time keeping in shape. You lose so many calories and you forget that you’re even working! I am soon going to try out riding a bike as I haven’t ridden it for years. These tips are great and I hope they help me stay in amazing shape.

I regularly go for a bike ride. It keeps me healthy and fit. Do whatever exercise you do, but do it on regular basis do not break it for a single day. And add in a healthy diet plan. These 2 things can make your life better :)

I love to go biking as often as I can. I
usually do it at least 3 times per month and would like to do it often but there doesn’t seem to be enough time for it. And I don’t just go biking in the summer but in the winter as well!

I love the frozen air in my face and how I have to overcome it to get to my destination. I usually lose 2-3 pounds every biking trip I do.

I love to dance and agree that it is a great way to burn some extra calories for sure. Me and my husband enjoy taking salsa classes and its a blast!

These are some really beneficial tips. Out of the 5 tips mentioned in the above article, riding bicycle sounds the easiest and most fun for me.

I think a combination of cycling, swimming, and dancing will really help you to maximize weight loss.

    I love this article!

However, the tips mentioned in this article are only good during Summer time. When it is Winter, perhaps some of these tips will not be very practical(for example – it is uncomfortable to ride bicycle during Winter).

Amazing, I think swimming and dancing are my option since I love dancing and swimming is my hobby. I guess the reason I am getting fat because of my new job that made me busy for the past 3 months. I will try to find some time to do this regularly so that I can stay fit. Thanks for the wonderful article.

I am desperate to get hold of a bicycle for this summer. I had been doing spinning indoors but that gets a bit much when you don’t want someone shouting in your face.
I could do with a bike for transport also, so two birds with one stone and helps me lose weight too, bonus!
I do love Boxercise and it helps get rid of those bingo wings!

Great low-impact suggestions with swimming, walking and biking! Those of us with bad knees won’t be doing too much in the way of step aerobics but swimming is a full body workout that doesn’t add any stress to the joints.

I would actually suggest rope skipping, too! You can burn more than 100 calories just by skipping for like 8 minutes. It’s really hard work, but it’s a total body calories burner!
And I agree totally with riding your bike – super fun, and makes your legs look absolutely gorgeous! Not to mention you can have fun & see new things while working out. Two in one, eh?

Swimming has always worked for me! I can burn so many calories in just an hour in the pool. My muscles ache when I am done but I know that swimming is much better for my body.

Yeah this article is definitely made for me!
All those tasty chocolate traps everywhere get me all the time!

I better start working out, but do you think a diet could work with more sports, but still eatings sweets all the time? Like, swin 2 hours a day, but eat normally?

As some of the people already told here, bike riding is a very efficient and healthy sport to do, but what do you think about rollerblading? I prefer rollerblading over bike riding and I have been doing it for quite a while now and the results are better than one of my friend’s.
